Helping people make sense of complex construction challenges.

Our Approach

Understand the Facts.

We review the project documents, communication, contract requirements, and sequence of events.

Identify the Risk.

We determine where exposure, entitlement, responsibility, or documentation gaps may exist.

Build the Position.

We help organize the facts into a clear, practical, and defensible project position.

Strengthen the System.

We help contractors improve the processes that prevent the same problems from happening again.

Kris Brossett - Principal

I've spent more than two decades in construction, working in the field, managing projects, negotiating contracts, leading teams, and building businesses. As the owner and president of New City Plumbing Contractors, I've experienced many of the same challenges my clients face: difficult contracts, delayed schedules, coordination failures, rejected submittals, unpaid change orders, documentation disputes, and the pressure of protecting a company while trying to complete the work.

My experience spans commercial construction, public works, DSA-regulated projects, estimating, project management, labor management, contract administration, claims documentation, and dispute resolution. Along the way, I've learned that many construction problems aren't caused by bad people or bad intentions. More often, they're caused by unclear expectations, poor communication, weak documentation, and a lack of understanding about risk and responsibility.

Today, I help contractors, attorneys, owners, and construction professionals make sense of complex project challenges. Whether reviewing contracts, evaluating claims, analyzing project records, identifying risk, or helping companies improve their systems, my goal is simple: bring clarity to complicated situations and help people make better decisions.

My areas of focus include:

  • Contract Review & Risk Assessment

  • Construction Claims & Change Order Analysis

  • Project Documentation Systems

  • Public Works & DSA Projects

  • Schedule & Delay Impact Evaluation

  • Means & Methods Review

  • Construction Dispute Support

  • Contractor Operations & Process Development

  • Project Recovery & Risk Mitigation

Sometimes what construction professionals need most isn't another opinion. They need someone who can cut through the noise, understand the facts, and help identify the next right step. That's the role I strive to play.

In addition to my construction background, I hold a master's degree from Western Theological Seminary and have spent years as a pastor, speaker, and published author. My experience communicating complex ideas, leading organizations, and navigating conflict has shaped the way I approach construction advisory work. I believe people make better decisions when they understand their situation clearly, and helping people gain that clarity is at the heart of everything I do.

“I've spent enough years in construction to know that most problems don't get solved by panic, assumptions, or louder voices. They get solved when someone takes the time to understand the facts, cut through the noise, and identify the next right step. If I can't help you myself, I'll help you find someone who can.”
